Roper Sibling Christmas 2008

We were very lucky that my siblings made it up this last weekend depite all the snow. It actually started to melt so we were able to get out and do a couple things.

They made it here Friday evening and we had dinner together. Teri and her family stayed at my place and Kent and his family stayed with Dawn. We opened presents and had Breakfast at Dawns on Saturday morning and then went to OMSI and then Boppin Bo's for dinner. Sunday we Hung around our place after church and had a big dinner and then played games. It was absolutely wonderful minus some grumpiness :). I love being around family. I would take it over anything anyday! Thanks for coming guys and I hope you enjoyed your time here and I can't wait til we can get together again!

A Very Wonderful Christmas

Despite all the stress of 2008, we had a very wonderful Christmas. I was really worried about how it would all turn out, but thanks to family and some special friends it was one of our best Christmas' yet. We are so truly blessed to have all of you in our lives. Thank you all for caring about our Children so much. It brought the true spirit of Christmas into our home and made me feel closer to my Heavenly Father and to remember that he knows me and will take care of me as long as I have faith.

The kids got lots of wonderful things and even Jeremy and I were surprised with a couple things. I asked the kids what their favorite thing from Christmas was and Aiden said it was his dinosaur webkinz. Ashlyne said hers was her new pink vacuum. And I think Arianne's favorite thing was her walker that she can use to take off on now. She had a very exciting frist Christmas. Napoleon even got a little spoiled with some dog cookies in his stocking!! Jeremy and I love to watch our children's faces as they open the presents and feel the excitement. And Jeremy enjoys opening all the new toys and putting them together. :) HEHE

We also had a very White Christmas with a foot of snow outside. We had Cody, Stephanie, Terrel and Dakota over and Jeremy and Cody decided to go outside and act like 5 year olds and build a snow transformer!

We love you all very much and appreciate all the things you have done for us in the year 2008! It was a great ending to roller coaster year!!!

Aiden turned 7!

Aiden made it to 7!!! He wanted a dinosaur themed Birthday and his favorite is the triceratop so I put one of his presents on the top of his cake. Daddy ventured to McDonalds and brought it home for us to enjoy since we couldn't go anywhere in the 12 inches of snow we had. Then we opened presents and had cake. For his Birthday he got Club Penguin for his DS, Cars racers, some DS games, toy dinosaurs, some money, Cd player/alarm clock and a gift card to target. He was really happy. And is even happier to turn eight. I keep telling him to enjoy being 7, but he wants to get baptized so bad!!! Thanks to everyone who helped him celebrate his great day!

Halloween 2008

We survived another Halloween. It's a lot more work with 3 kids! We were all exhausted by the end of the night. We got to share it with Aunt Sis and Papa. They came to visit and it was nice to have them here. Aiden was a Power Ranger, Ashlyne was Jo Jo the Clown and Arianne was Tinkerbell. It started out by going to Jeremy's work to show off the kids, and by the time we were done we had enough candy to stop there. We then went to the trunk or treat at church and they had a carnival. I think I went through 3 huge bags of candy in one hour! and then we came home and went quickly down our street and then went home to hang out with Aunt Sis and Papa til we went to bed.

Sleeping Beauty

I had a girls game night at my house on Friday and my husband took the kids out and then when they got home he kept them in Aiden's room and watched movies with them so I could have fun with my friends! Well when they were getting ready to leave one of my friends pointed out the little Sleeping Beauty in the hallway hanging out of Aiden's doorway.
Oh and Jeremy, I love you so much, thanks for letting me have game night at our house and watching the kids while I played. You are the Best!

Here she goes

So Arianne Has finally figured out how to get around. She gets up on her hands and tippy toes, with her stomach completely off the ground. And then pushes herself backwards with her arms. And just 2 days ago she figured out how to get on her knees too. I cannot believe at 6 months she is doing all this. Man are we in for it!

First Day of School 2008

I cannot believe I am old enough to have a first grader. He is so Mr. Independent! I drove him to school and walked him to his classroom, he sat down and said "Bye Mom." I couldn't believe it. So I hung around only cause I'm nosey and wanted to know what he was going to do in first grade and then I decided it was time to let go and let him be a big boy! Then I went and took care of a couple things and we started walking to the car and then Ashlyne had a fit. She kept screaming, "I want my Aiden!" All day long she kept asking if it was time to pick him up yet cause she's only used to him being away for 3 hours. 6 hours is great though, I got to be with just my girls for 6 hours and I get to that every day! When I went to pick him up I asked him what he'd done all day and he said he couldn't remember! What a good first day I guess! But he did tell me that he get so eat in the cafeteria and have 2 recess'. He is enjoying himself and loving the class and the Teacher!

Walnut Grove Ward Campout

So Friday night we went on the ward camp out. It was so much fun, I don't understand why more wards don't do this. The only down side is that we weren't there for more then one night. It was a lot of fun. We were right on Yale lake which I guess is part of Lewis River. We were walking distance from the water. On Saturday Jeremy took the kids down to the playground/swimming area and I guess Ashlyne was losing her balance in the water and kept slipping backwards and just as she went under Jeremy grabbed her out. Way to go Super Dad. This is why I completely trust him with my kids, he has Super reflexes and he is their Dad after all! :) So after lots of fun we came home and my back went out Saturday night and so I didn't make to church so if any of the people in charge in our ward our reading this: Please consider doing it longer next year!!!! Anyway, it was a blast and I can't wait to do it again next year!

Snakes!

So we finally got around to doing something with are yard, not finished yet cause when you live on a quarter of an acre it can take awhile. Anyway, as Jeremy was doing his manly chainsaw thing I was moving logs from a bush we cut down earlier and some cinder blocks that had been sitting around awhile when I came across 2 garter snakes. Jeremy doesn't mind picking them up so he did and then he let each of the kids hold it. Ewww, but they didn't mind. I can't believe Ashlyne did it, I would have never at her age, well I still will never!!

It's true, I'm her Momma

I never noticed how much Arianne looks like me until Jeremy took this picture. Everyone would say she looks like me or that she looks morel like me then the other two. Truthfully I never saw it until now. I just hope she never has to go through those odd looking years that every child goes through!

Pony Rides

We went to the County Fair and every year we search for the Pony Rides. It's fun to see that they are not afraid of the live animals. We have been doing this since Ashlyne was a year old. I just hope she doesn't get too attached and start asking for one. Next year we will put Arianne on one.

The Good Ol' Dollar Section at Target

Anytime we go to Target we go to the dollar section and to keep the kids from asking for anything else in the store we usually get them something. Well one night they decided to pick out a pair of goggles. They wanted to take a bath right away and put their heads under the water. They think they are the coolest things and think they are bugs!

Napoleon

So.......yah....we got a dog. His name is Napoleon and he is a Yorkie. He is absolutely adorable and very low key. He just walks around until he finds were the kids put his pillow and then lays on the pillow. He is a whole 9 pounds and believe it or not he is overweight. Hehe. I think this will be a good experience for us. He already loves the kids. And I can have Arianne on the floor and he doesn't even bother her!!!

Let's Reminisce

Let's Reminisce...
Our friends had this on their blog and challenged us to do it. Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together, or one of the first memories you have of me. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot. Anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty fun to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you...Get excited!

My Sister knocked my Tooth out

So we just got home from school shopping and Aiden was cleaning up some toys. Well as he went to bend over to pick up some toys Ashlyne walked by him and her hand hit his mouth with his lose tooth and out it came. So he started crying then realized his tooth that he had been working on all day came out and then started laughing. It was hilarious. So he now has lost a total of 4 teeth and out of those 4 teeth only one has come in so now he looks adorable! Right?!

What I woke up to this Morning

I guess sometime last night Aiden made his way into Ashlyne room. I went in there this morning and they were like this. It's so cute that they love each other so much, but man can they bug each other too!

I can grab my Feet!

Arianne is growing up so fast. She started rolling over and now she can grab her feet and play with them. Any time she is on her back her little feet just fly up an she grabs a hold of them and doesn't let go, it's so cute! One of the cutest things in baby phases!

Kindergarten Graduation- I know it's late

Aiden's last day of kindergarten was June 18th. It was so sad for me cause I think he had the greatest teacher, Mrs. Schweikhardt. He made so many friends and has so many great memories. They had a little graduation ceremony on the last day of school. It was totally cute. They did a graduation walk around the bus drop off circle and then got diplomas and then they got bubbles and a snack and we got his report card. He did wonderful this year. His report card said he was consistent or above in all areas. We are very proud of him and can't wait to see him in 1st grade. He is very excited about 1st grade too!

Ashlyne turned 4!

Ashlyne turned 4 on the 28th of June. It was a Saturday so we had her party on the same day. She wanted a monkey party. She is funniest child I know, after all her favorite food is broccoli! Anyway, we had her friends over and started with lunch. We had banana bread and monkey mix with banana chips and mini marshmallows and pretzels. We played pin the banana on the monkey and had a monkey walk and had a monkey pinata too. She wanted a pink monkey cake and she gets what she wants so I stressed about that for a little bit, but it turned out cute. She got lots of fun stuff, thanks to everyone who helped make her day special!

Yummy Cereal

Arianne is getting bigger and now she is eating cereal. She realizes when we are eating and not sharing and voices her opinion about it. So we decided to start feeding her cereal. She loves it unlike her brother and sister did at that age. I can't seem to get it in her mouth fast enough. I think it's so cute cause I have noticed before that when I am feeding baby's I always open my mouth too, but in the picture Ashlyne is doing the same thing. As if opening our mouths would make Arianne open hers!

Happy 4th of July

Uncle Buddy and Aunt Heather came to visit and we had a blast doing fireworks!
